The instructors at IntelliQuest Training Academy continuously receive expert training in order to provide the most current and progressive training possible to our clientele. To insure you are provided thorough training, courses include classroom, hands-on, and live fire instruction. We have a class that is suited for you, whether you have never touched a firearm, or you employ one daily, we have something to offer everyone.

NRA Basic Pistol (Novice) (1 Day)

+$25.00 Range fee

This course is an introductory course, perfect for beginners. If you have little to no experience with a handgun, this class is perfect for you! This course is ¾ day classroom ¼ day range. This course covers the basic skills needed to safely handle, load, unload, carry and fire most common pistols and revolvers. The course also takes you through nomenclature, proper maintenance, cleaning, safe storage and inspection of a firearm.

This course is intended for the first time handgun owner and is highly recommended before purchasing a firearm. This course meets and exceeds the requirements of NRA's First Steps Pistol. Firearms can be provided for an additional fee of $10.00

Practical Pistol Skills (Intermediate) (2Days)

This course is the basics of handgun usage. If you have a basic working knowledge of a firearm. This is the class for you. (We recommend you have previous experience with a firearm or take this class after the HANDGUN ORIENTATION Course) This class will cover practical skills to safely handle, load, unload, carry and fire most common pistols and revolvers and will provide hands-on training in the proper way to safely draw from a holster, fire and recovery, the basics of home protection, mindset and concealed carry will be covered in the class. The skills learned in this class can be used in self defense, sport or recreational shooting.

This course is intended for intermediate shooters or those who need to brush up on their skills. This course meets and exceeds the requirements of NRA's Basic Pistol Course. Firearms can be provided for an additional fee of $10.00

NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home (Intermediate) (1Day)

This class will teach someone with basic knowledge of firearms the different aspects of how to accomplish personal defense in the home using a pistol. The different aspects taught to achieve this goal are: How to operate and store a pistol safely, the mental preparation needed, how to develop defensive shooting skills, different strategies, and mindset for home and personal safety, self defense and the law pertaining to self defense, selecting a firearm to be used for personal defense within the home, and the different required accessories for protection inside the home. In addition to the fundamentals, the students will also experience close quarter tactics such as: dealing with low-light, use of cover, and tactical movement. This is a self defense grounded course offered to responsible citizens, armed professionals, law enforcement and governmental agencies.

This course meets and exceeds the requirements of NRA's Personal Protection Inside the Home. Firearms can be provided for an additional fee of $10.00

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home
(Intermediate) (2 Days)

This course is intended for those with both basic working knowledge as well as hands-on experience with firearms. The course will provide proper training and skill development necessary in order to safely and effectively carry a concealed firearm for self defense purposes. The skills learned will provide a solid information base and foundation regarding carrying a concealed firearm and general self defense involving firearms. This course will combine basic knowledge with more intensive training, which will elevate your level of comfort and safety when working with a handgun. This is a self defense grounded course offered to responsible citizens, armed professionals, law enforcement and governmental agencies. Home Defense with a Pistol / Personal Protection Inside The Home (Intermediate) (1Day) must be successfully completed before registering for this class.

Prior to attending this course a background check is required. This requirement is waived for individuals who possess a valid firearms license / carry permit or can furnish a receipt from a recent gun purchase. Include applicable copies with your enrollment form.

This course is not for beginners. This course is recommended only for those who have basic knowledge and experience that plan on carrying a concealed firearm. This course meets and exceeds the requirements of NRA's Personal Protection Outside the Home.

Concealed Carry Pistol (Advanced) (1Day)

This course is intended for those with both strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with firearms. The course will provide proper training and skills necessary in order to safely and effectively carry a concealed firearm for self defense purposes. The skills learned will provide solid no nonsense information and techniques about the specifics of carrying a concealed firearm and general self defense involving firearms. This course will combine your knowledge with more intensive training, which will elevate your level of comfort and safety when working with a handgun. This is a self defense grounded course offered to responsible citizens, armed professionals, law enforcement and governmental agencies.

Prior to attending this course a background check is required. This requirement is waived for individuals who possess a valid firearms license / carry permit or can furnish a receipt from a recent gun purchase. Include applicable copies with your enrollment form.

This course is not for beginners. This course is recommended only for those who have extensive knowledge and experience that plan on carrying a concealed firearm.

Close Quarter Pistol Techniques (Advanced) (1Day)

This course is for advanced shooters only. The course focuses on shooting techniques which are applicable in the real world. Some of the key skills you will learn include moving and shooting, alternative shooting positions, sighted vs. unsighted, ground fighting, moving threats and speed shooting. This is a self defense grounded course offered to responsible citizens, armed professionals, law enforcement and governmental agencies.

This course is not for beginners. This course is recommended only for those who have extensive knowledge and plan on carrying a concealed firearm or a duty firearm. Concealed Carry (Intermediate) or a similar course is required as a prerequisite.

Low Light Pistol Operator (Advanced) (1Day)

This course teaches you the skills necessary to defend yourself in conditions which offer little to no lighting. In this class, you will learn techniques and skills such as defense with or without alternate lighting sources, low light operations, selecting equipment for low light conditions, and other uses of the flashlight. This course is perfect for citizens who own guns for home defense purposes or carry a firearm on a regular basis. This is a self defense grounded course offered to responsible citizens, armed professionals, law enforcement and governmental agencies.
